A visceral identity capturing Flamengo’s raw energy beyond the jersey.
An editorial tribute to creativity and football, born from Brazil’s raw streets.
The visual identity for Flamengo was built around the concept of the campaign “Bastará a camisa” — “The jersey will be enough.” Created for the launch of the 2015 season kit, adidas wanted a look that felt truly from the streets: raw, bold, and unmistakably Flamengo.
We drew inspiration from Rio’s urban landscape — painted walls, improvised typography, spontaneous illustrations, and the intense energy that takes over the city on match days. The idea was to build a visual language as authentic as the fans themselves, expressing a passion that needs nothing more than the shirt to exist.
The identity brought together striking reds, bold typography, and street-driven illustrations, echoing the fierce spirit of the Nation. The result was a campaign that didn’t just introduce a new jersey — it reinforced a simple truth: the jersey will be enough.
A raw, urban expression of Flamengo’s heart — loud, proud, and impossible to ignore.
